USE & CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Lumbar Support Belt + Hands-Free Dog Leash – DearWells

Product Contents
• 1 bungee elastic leash (50 inches unstretched), with double handle and large 3.5” metal carabiners.

◦ One handle includes a removable Velcro wrap that allows converting the leash into a manual/handheld mode.

◦ The other handle is fixed, designed to keep your dog close to your body and improve control in situations requiring higher precision.

• 1 adjustable waist belt with a sliding metal double-D buckle for sizing and a metal quick-release clip for closure. Includes three D-rings:

◦ 1 fixed D-ring

◦ 1 adjustable movable D-ring

◦ 1 free-moving D-ring

• 1 padded lumbar support (18 inches wide, neoprene interior).

• Reflective stitching on both the belt and leash for night-time visibility & safety.

• 1 storage fabric pouch for the leash.

HOW TO USE
Hands-free connection (recommended):
Attach the carabiner with the Velcro-wrap system to the two main D-rings on the belt (fixed + free-moving). This is the strongest and safest setup for walking or jogging.

Alternative connection:
You may also attach only one carabiner to the free-moving D-ring for greater movement freedom. Recommended for light, relaxed walks.

Accessory use:
The adjustable movable D-ring can be used to attach accessories such as a waste-bag holder, keys, flashlight, or a secondary leash, positioning it where it feels most comfortable for you.

Multiple dogs:
As long as you’re not using the double connection (fixed + free-moving D-rings), you can attach up to three leashes (one per D-ring). Keep in mind that leashes may tangle if dogs cross paths.

Manual mode:
Open the Velcro wrap on the handle that includes the D-ring, attach its carabiner to the D-ring, and use it as a traditional handheld leash.
Important:
Pulling force should always be applied through the carabiner and D-ring, never directly from the leash strap.

BELT AJUSTMENT
Place the belt around your waist without closing it and check if it needs tightening or loosening.

Remove it and adjust the fit using the sliding metal double-D buckle. Repeat until firmly set.

To close the belt:
Align both parts of the metal quick-release buckle and push them together until you hear a firm click.
To open it:
Press both side tabs of the buckle and pull the two pieces apart.

Position the lumbar support pad centered on your lower back.
To reach the minimum 25-inch fit, slide the movable/fixed D-ring toward the belt’s end, in the direction of the fixed D-ring.

While walking, try to stay slightly behind your dog, keeping light tension on the leash — not too loose, not too tight — to prevent tangling.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
General cleaning:
• Hand-wash with cold or lukewarm water (max. 30°C / 86°F).
• Do not use washing machine, bleach, iron, or dryer.
• Air-dry in the shade, away from heat sources.
Lumbar support (neoprene):
• Hand-wash with mild soap.
• Avoid prolonged direct sunlight exposure.
Bungee elastic leash:
• Do not overstretch beyond its natural limit.
• Store without tension to maintain elasticity.
Metal carabiners:
• Dry thoroughly after washing to prevent rusting.
• If used at the beach, rinse with fresh water.
Velcro:
• Clean regularly using a soft brush to remove lint, hair, or debris.
SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
• Always inspect carabiners, stitching, and D-rings before each walk.
• Make sure carabiners are securely attached to the D-rings.
• Do not use the belt with aggressively pulling dogs without close supervision.
